Donald spent the first five years of his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Company and PriceWaterhouse. Next he joined the treasury group of a large steel manufacturing company. In 1995, the company CEO drafted him into service to lead the Finance and Controlling team on the firm’s SAP implementation. There he gained a great deal of SAP FI/CO experience with an emphasis on product costing and manufacturing execution. He later became the company’s controller and led all SAP post implementation FI/CO efforts. In 1997 Don joined KLA, a small SAP consulting firm focused on business process driven SAP projects. Because of his efforts and success in helping the company’s steady growth, he was offered partial ownership in the firm. In 1998 KLA was sold to a larger firm. In 1998 Donald established Dickinson + Associates with the principal purpose of developing and implementing effective tactical solutions to post-implementation ERP issues. His experiences as a certified public accountant, as a controller in industry, as the Finance & Accounting Officer for a U.S. Army Division, and as a principal/managing consultant in two prominent management and Information Technology consulting firms have helped his firm develop a special perspective on combining business experience with technology expertise to produce real value for clients.
